Festival of light dawns

“Festival of light dawns”, published in the local community newspaper, the Wyndham Star Weekly on 5 October 2022. Members of the West Seniors dressed up in their fineries to demonstrate the importance of Diwali. A special thanks to Savitri Naidu, Saras Chand and Minor Pillai.

The groups president Amman said the focus this year was highlighting the importance of celebrating with the community. He further commented on the importance of recognising Australia’s multicultural community by asking the local community to participate and celebrate Diwali. An opportunity to enhance a more cohesive and vibrant local community.
